Founder and owner, Tom Hunter, announced today that Left Coast Oils is focusing it's energy on providing value-added solutions for tasting rooms, not just in California, Oregon, and Washington but nationwide. Instead of offering other company's branded products (i.e. Olive oils and vinegars from XYZ company), Left Coast Oils is focusing on Brand extension to the winery.
"The ability to offer premium certified extra virgin olive oils, citrus oils, specialty organic, gluten free, and non-GMO vinegars, plus Sonoma Coast Sea Salt with the winery's branded label on them is a competitive advantage and serious money maker for the tasting room", Hunter said. "What's the most important asset of any business?" It's their brand and we hope to enhance that concept for each winery".
"I stumbled upon that concept 10 years ago as co-owner of my previous olive oil company, Stella Cadente Olive Oil Company. One of the first wineries that we wanted to sell Stella Cadente's oils to asked if we would provide them with unlabeled bottles. They ordered 25 cases the first year. I recently visited them (having sold Stella Cadente in 2007) to see if they had grown their customer base and increased sales. They told me they were now ordering over 50 cases/year. That reinforced the idea that private label branding works and is profitable", Hunter went on to say.
Left Coast Oils is located in Healdsburg, CA at the nexus of Dry Creek Valley, the Russian River Valley, and Alexander Valley wine growing regions.
